A stunningly reckless embrace of the concept of 'fruitful voids ', 🦉💨's newest game demands engagement in the creative process as a prerequisite to even conceptualizing play.
Two foes meet, combatants armed for the inevitable conflict. With bravado and demands they face off, well aware of the likelihood of their own imminent demise. One player, whose character is henceforth "the fool", in a moment perhaps rash, perhaps calculated, throws their worst ten sided die across the table (the poorly balanced Chessex one where the faces don't add up to 11 whenever you sum opposing sides). The other character, "the Yorrick", is fated to die, the sacrifice that violent anger demands. If they can slap the die while it is still in the air, however, they don't die alone, but take the fool with them. If the ten sider lands on a natural 20, both characters are reincarnated as owl librarians.
Is that the game Hieroglyphics? No. But that is *My* Hieroglyphics. Your analysis of the "text" will probably differ. Be brave enough to take that challenge, and hopefully wise enough to do better than I did with it.
This is the kindest thing anyone could have said about my nonsense.
